The apprenticeship program is a 5-year program. Apprentices who start after January 1st, 2025, work full time for a local mechanical contractor and attend classes for 8 hours every other week.

No, we are only accepting applications for the Plumber/Pipefitter apprenticeship. We are not accepting any HVAC apprentices at this time.
You must meet the following requirements.
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Consent to a background check
- Have a valid driving license
- Highschool graduate or equivalent (GED)
All required documents must be submitted in order for your application to be considered. Required documents include:
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Driver’s License
- High School diploma and High school transcripts or high school equivalency (GED) certificate and official report of test results
- College transcripts (if Applicable)
- Military transfer or discharge Form DD-214, if applicable
WorkKeys exams will be scheduled once your application and payment have been received. Applicants will receive a letter by mail and email confirming testing date, time and location information.
The WorkKeys exam will cover four subjects - Applied math, Workplace Documents, Workplace Observation, and Applied Technology. Information regarding the WorkKeys exam can be found on their website at www.workkeys.org.
Applicants must score a cumulative score of 17 or higher in order to move on with the employment process.
No, you cannot retake the exam. Applicants who do not meet the score criteria must reapply at a later time.
Yes, anyone starting the program after January 1st, 2025. Once you have been accepted into the apprenticeship.
After the WorkKeys Exam results are received (TBD), applicants who meet the score requirement of 17 or higher will receive a letter by certified mail and by email to attend a scheduled interview.
Once all eligible applicants have been interviewed, you will receive a letter of acceptance/denial for the apprenticeship.
